Important Time Changes
Due to so many girls wanting to play netball on a Monday night and the club entering 2 Junior teams in the Bristol League, the coaches have decided to split the session to enable us to meet the coaching needs of the girls. Therefore as of the 22nd September 08 Monday nights will be divided as follows:
5pm-6pm Hi 5s Yr 5 and Yr 6
5.30pm-6.30pm Yr 7 and Yr 8
7pm-8pm Yr 9 and Yr 10
We hope these changes do not cause too many difficulties but we feel they will allow us to develop the girls’ skills and match play more effectively. Any problems, please speak to one of the coaches (Claire 01934 833115)
Club Shop
The club shop will be open on the 2nd Monday of the month between 6pm and 7pm to buy kit. Order forms are also available. Check the noticeboard for price details.
Presentation Night
This is provisionally booked for the Monday 10th November 7pm to 8pm (yr9-10 training will be earlier). Details to follow.

Junior news letters and parent rota
Monday, July 2nd, 2007Club Website The club website is now up and running at www.yatton-netball.co.uk. You will find lots of useful information (like newsletters) about the Junior section on there (eventually) so keep an eye on it. You can download an order form for club hoodies etc, if you haven’t had one or if you’ve lost it. The Club registration can also be downloaded and I am hoping to put the helpers rota on there as well. Hopefully the girls will be able to contribute to the site in the future. If you have any suggestions about what would be useful to include just let me know.
Yatton Parish Council Yatton Parish Council has been fantastic at supporting the Netball club, providing us with enough money to complete the court at the rugby club. Now it is our turn to support them. Recently they have written to us to invite us to the following event…
Midsummer Barbecue On the evening of Saturday 23rd June (5-10pm), Yatton Parish Council is planning to hold an event for older children/young teenagers at Hangstones. As well as providing a social event for the age group 10-16 years (with their families), the council also intends to consult young people about the provision of a skate park and other youth facilities and to get their views on what would improve life for them in our community. This will be done through a “Parish Pow-Wow” in a Tee Pee where interviews will be video recorded in a ‘Big Brother’ video diary style.
The club will be providing support by running a shooting competition but it would be great to see the juniors there in large numbers.
Annual Membership. It is that time of year again where we have to pay our membership to England Netball. This includes the girls’ insurance and club fees. It will also include social membership of the rugby club, so we can use the clubhouse and the gym on those cold and wet nights in January and February. The cost will be £25.00 for everyone except girls who will be going into year 10 in September, who will need to pay £28.00 because of Weston League fees. I will be giving the girls registration forms in the near future. They need to be filled in and returned with payment by the end of July.
Enrichment Week Next week 11 June is Backwell School’s enrichment week. I know not all of you will be away, but quite a lot of you are, so we have decided to cancel training. NO SESSION next week. See you on the 18th June.
Parent Helper Rota I have had lots of offers of help recently so I thought I would do a rota until the end of the summer. We have decided to have a break for the summer holidays. Finishing on Monday 16th July and restarting 3rd September. Year 10 can train with the Seniors, Sam will let you know about this.
Monday 18th June: Sophie Wooton,
Monday 25th June: Charlotte Eskell,
Monday 2nd July: Sophie Bray,
Monday 9th July: Lucy Okeden,
Monday 16th July: Serena Welham.
If you have any difficulties with these days let me know.
