Yatton Netball Club

Yatton v Priory Stomors at Priory school.

We lead each quater by a few goals and then won the match 21 - 17!

It was an enjoyable, competitive but fun game and both teams were keen to continue despite the heavy down pours of rain and other teams abandoning their matches due to the courts and balls becoming too slippery. We made the right descision as the showers were heavy but short lived.
Our team was: Julia (Captain), Debbie, Charlie, Charlotte, Claire K-L, Jane, Anne, Sian, Jemma and our supporter Andrea.

After a successful winter season in the Weston netball League, Yatton A finishing 3rd in Division 1, Yatton B finishing 2nd in Division 2. On the 16th May the Weston Summer league started with a good win with a mix of players from both  A and B teams players against Falcons at Priory school.
Both teams competed well but our ball handling skills and accurate shooting won us the game, (20 - 8). It was an enjoyable game to play even with the strong winds affecting play!
Our team included: Sam H (captain), Julia, Sian, Geri, Andrea, Charlotte, Claire J, Liz, Laura. Next match 30th May!

Please note first match is next wednesday 16th May at 8pm Priory School.

You are invited (family’s too) to Charlie’s Purple birthday party, 17th June, 2pm til late at the ‘Prince of Orange’ pub garden, live band, accoustics, disco and BBQ! Please wear something Purple! RSVP

The courts have now been marked out (black court with amber lines,  just our team colours!!) Seniors (tuesdays) will begin training at yatton RFC on 29th May ! Juniors (mondays) will begin training on 4th June.

Please note the first aid course for netball related injuries is next week (tuesday 22nd May at 7pm to be held at Yatton RFC)
